On 25 September 2015, the UN member states adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It contains a number of goals aimed to eradicate poverty, preserve the planet's resources and ensuring well-being of all. Each of the 17 Goals contains a set of indicators that must be achieved within 15 years.
It requires the joint efforts of governments, the private sector, civil society and the inhabitants of the Earth to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
